Why WebP instead of PNG for delivery
PNG is excellent for lossless transparency during design, but it is often heavier than modern delivery formats.
WebP gives you both lossy and lossless modes, broad browser support, and typically smaller bytes at comparable visual quality for photographs and gradients.
